My double tragus
I had wished to get some more piercings on my left ear for a bit, but wasn’t sure if I just I needed a snug or a commercial.
At the time I did not truly even think about getting a tragus piercing, I had this idea that it might be such a tough piercing to worry for due to its location and the thickness of my tragus. At least till I found an image of this beautiful kind of vertical tragus while scanning here. I right away fell head over heels in love with the notion of getting it done. Roughly a week or so later I booked to go and get it pierced, I called up Tattoo Evolution and asked how much it’d be for a tragus, they announced about $40 which was fine by me since my pa had concluded to pay for it as a present. I chose to do it on Mother’s Day and make it a pa girl trip since I haven’t got a ma truly.
So we headed to get it done, when we received there it was not terribly busy apart from some moms getting tattoos but nobody was getting pierced so I did not have a wait which was nice. Justin ( my piercer ) came up and rapped with me a bit about what I wanted while I filled out the documentation, I handed him the picture I had printed of the piercing I wanted so he could see precisely what it seemed like. He looked a little baffled initially as if he was not positive how to do the piercing or something ; he then started to check the dimensions of my tragus I did not even think about that before hand.
It seemed that my tragus is pretty little. He told me thanks to the size of my tragus he was not sure he could do the precise piercing I wanted however ; he could do 2 separate piercings then get custom jewellery made later to make it kind of an “orbital tragus”.
This was all acceptable with me but I had to ask how much it was going to cost because I had originally believed that I was getting only 1 piercing, he revealed about $70. Here’s where my pa had a difficulty since he was paying for it and only planned on paying $40. So I was under the impression that it would need to be put on hold till I could get more cash, at this point I began to reconsider what I wanted done that day but Justin stopped me and expounded that he would do it for $40 if I guaranteed to allow him take photos and if I made sure to come back so he could get the custom jewellery made for it, sounded like more than a deal to me! So then we received to the good part, Justin began by bending a shitload of jewellery to try to make it tiny enough so there would be room for 2 piercings. After that he tidied up my ear and marked it. I was not awfully frightened about the pain because I did not think it might hurt, I’m in possession of a few other cartilage piercings and they were not agonizing but I presumed I’d ask him how distressing it’d be anyway. I asked him how much more he believed it might hurt me than getting my nose pierced he claimed “A lot more” that is when I got a bit concerned. I am good at handling discomfort so I just attempted to remain as relaxed at I could as he continued to clamp my ear and get things prepared, this is also when my pop was guffawing and preparing to take photos with his camera telephone. Justin then instructed me to take a big breath in and slowly release it, as I did I felt him push the needle through a bit and I believed I was done… I was wrong and the pain was yet to come. He told me to take another big breath again, he then pushed it all of the way through and that is when the agony started and from there on till he finished putting the jewellery in was hell. After he had finished doing each of the piercings I got up to see, they turned out fantastic and I could not have been happier with them. Justin then took some footage and I was on my way. So far my piercings are doing well and are healing up pleasantly.
I suggest tragus piercings, I am terribly happy with mine. I’m planning on posting some footage once I get my custom jewellery in, which may take about 4 months due to the restorative process.
I’d take some before then if I’m able to also find a camera that isn’t a chunk of shit.
